As an intern at MVRDV, you’ll be part of an energetic, international team of over 250 professionals from more than 40 nationalities. You’ll gain hands-on experience in media outreach, content creation, and communications strategy within a dynamic creative industry. Working alongside experienced PR professionals, you’ll develop essential skills, support key campaigns, and help strengthen the public presence and global reputation of a renowned architecture practice.
PR Team
The Public Relations Team at MVRDV plays a key role in shaping how the world sees our work. From managing media relations and crafting press releases, to organising events and curating social media content, the team ensures our projects, ideas, and values are shared with a global audience. Working across departments, the PR team amplifies MVRDV’s voice and strengthens our brand presence in the architecture and design world.
About the role
As a PR Intern at MVRDV, you’ll support the daily activities of our PR team, helping to manage media relations, create engaging content, and organise press events. This is a hands-on internship that offers a well-rounded introduction to public relations in an internationally renowned creative practice.

Job requirements
We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) architect intern to join us on-site (at the office 5 days a week) from 1 September 2025 to 28 Feburary 2026, for an exciting 6-month internship. More specifically, we are looking for students with:
Enrolled in a relevant programme e.g. Communications, Marketing, or Business Management/Administration
Fluency in English. Dutch, French, or other languages from our core markets (German, Chinese) are a plus
You are able to work in a structured and outcome-focused way
Possess a can-do attitude, and thrive on working on multiple activities to deadlines
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) and/or CapCut, plus social media. Experience with media software such as Meltwater / Cision is a plus
Excellent communication skills
An interest in architecture / design is a plus
Authorised to work in the Netherlands (through being an EU citizen, having a Dutch student permit, working holiday permit or Erasmus+)
Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship (proof required)
What you’ll be doing
Respond to media inquiries and interview requests
Write and edit content for press releases, brochures, and presentations
Help maintain our press clipping archive and monitor media coverage
Assist with planning and coordination of press events and speaking engagements
Coordinate visits to MVRDV’s Rotterdam headquarters and other projects alongside a range of internal events
Contribute to the pitching and promotion of MVRDV’s projects to international media outlets
Enhance our social media presence by creating content and engaging with an online community of nearly 1.5 million across multiple platforms
