Important: You must remain enrolled in an eligible university study programme between 1st of September 2025 and the 28th of February 2026 to be considered for an internship.

Interior Studio

The Interiors Studio is responsible for designing innovative and inspiring interiors and façades for a variety of spaces, including offices, retail spaces, museums, and public spaces. The Studio is known for its playful and experimental designs, which often challenge traditional notions of interior space. The bold approach to interiors creates experiences that people remember. About the role

As an Interior Design Intern at the Interiors Studio of MVRDV, you’ll dive into a dynamic studio environment where bold ideas and quick thinking are part of the everyday. You’ll be guided by top interior designers on projects and competitions, contributing to playful and unique concepts, detailed drawings, and striking visualisations. It’s an exciting opportunity to sharpen your skills, push your creativity, and get a true taste of working at the forefront of interior design architecture.

Job requirements

We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) architect intern to join us on-site (at the office 5 days a week) from the 1st of September 2025 to the 28th of February 2026, for an exciting 6-month internship. More specifically, we are looking for students with: 

  • Strong design and CAD skills 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and solid 2D and 3D rendering abilities (please specify your experience with each software in your application) 

  • Ability to work well in international teams 

  • Excellent verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus 

  • Authorised to work in the Netherlands (through being an EU citizen, having a Dutch student permit, working holiday permit or Erasmus+) 

  • Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship (proof required) 

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting with concept development and design proposals 

  • Producing drawings, diagrams, and 3D models 

  • Creating visuals and presentation materials for competitions and clients 

  • Joining team meetings and design critiques 

  • Researching materials, site conditions, and architectural references

Second Interview

You made it to the last stage! During this meeting, you will meet with another teammate and a Senior Manager, who will further assess your possible future contributions to the team.
