As an intern at MVRDV, you’ll join an energetic, international team of over 250 professionals from more than 40 nationalities. You’ll gain hands-on experience working on ground-breaking projects, collaborate with industry-leading architects, and push the boundaries of design. About the Design Collective
The Design Collective at MVRDV is responsible for designing innovative and sustainable buildings and structures. We work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale residential buildings to large-scale commercial and cultural complexes. Have a look here for some examples.

About the role
As an Architecture Intern at MVRDV, you’ll dive into a dynamic environment where bold ideas and quick thinking are part of the everyday. You’ll be guided by top international designers on projects and competitions, contributing to ambitious concepts, detailed drawings, and striking visualizations. Depending on your profile and experience, you’ll be considered for specific projects, regions and/or typologies.
It’s an exciting opportunity to sharpen your skills, push your creativity, and get a true taste of working at the forefront of architecture.
What you’ll be doing
Assisting with concept development and design proposals.
Producing drawings, diagrams, and 3D models.
Creating visuals and presentation materials for competitions and clients.
Joining team meetings and design critiques.
Researching materials, site conditions, and architectural references.

Job requirements
We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) architect intern to join us on-site (at the office 5 days a week) from the 1 September 2026 to the 28 February 2027, for an exciting 6-month internship. More specifically, we are looking for students with:
Strong design and CAD skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Suite and solid 2D and 3D rendering abilities (please specify your experience with each software in your application).
Ability to work well in international teams.
Excellent verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus.
Authorised to work in the Netherlands (through being an EU citizen, having a Dutch permit or working holiday permit). If applicable, MVRDV can support in the VISA application process for non-EU citizens. This is subject to meeting all the requirements of the Immigration Service in the Netherlands. Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required).
