MVRDV began in Rotterdam in 1993 with founding partners Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs, and Nathalie de Vries. We've since opened offices in Shanghai (2011), Paris (2018), Berlin (2020), and most recently New York, and expanded our roster of partners including Frans de Witte, Fokke Moerel, Wenchian Shi, Jan Knikker, and Bertrand Schippan.
We've completed more than 190 projects along the way, while constantly pushing boundaries and winning multiple awards. You'll be part of a diverse team now numbering more than 300 people from more than 40 countries, all working together to create something truly groundbreaking.
We believe in fostering collaboration with a twist. You'll develop your own unique style while learning from leading practitioners, including our partners, and use cutting-edge technologies. In whichever of our five studios and three specialisms you work, you'll benefit from a dynamic and friendly environment, and your voice will be heard no matter your experience level.
Should you be hired as an architect or designer, you'll work in one of our five studios or three expert teams. The studios are aligned to our offices in Rotterdam and internationally, while our expert teams - Interiors, Urban, and NEXT - deliver specialist work including groundbreaking research and development, either in collaboration with the studios or as standalone projects.
You'll learn more about our operations during the recruitment process, as part of the discussion in where we think you would best fit at MVRDV.
Offering career opportunities at all levels across an array of disciplines, we welcome applications from the very best talent to join our world-leading studios.
We hire outstanding, emerging talent twice yearly. Internships in our offices provide hands-on experience including on an array of extraordinary projects.
You must use the online form provided for each job posting to submit your application, and we're unable to consider applications received via email or paper.
We're committed to treating all employees and applicants equally, regardless of gender or marital status, color, nationality or ethnic origin, religion or religious belief, sexual orientation, disability or age. We're also very proud of how well women are represented within our practice, and we continue to seek ways in which we can solicit applications from the most diverse array of candidates possible for our roles. Nonetheless, we also understand that industry research indicates women are unlikely to submit applications for a role unless they meet 100% of the specifications, which may lead to receiving fewer applications for a position than from men. If you believe you are a suitable candidate for a position but don't meet all of the requirements, we definitely encourage you to apply irrespective of gender.
Please note: we receive a significant number of amazing applications for each role. We aim to review them as quickly as possible, but due to the volume received, providing personalised feedback is not always possible. Keep checking your inbox for updates.
