MVRDV is looking for an experienced Senior Project Leader with experience in detailed design phases and execution knowledge in landscape architecture. The experienced Project Leader is someone with an affinity for contemporary landscape architecture and loads of experience with landscape projects: work on concept phases, design elaboration, tendering, technical phases, and execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven professional experience. At least 5 years prior experience as a project leader.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in detailed design phase, tender and execution process.

  • Landscape experience in (un)built environment; as a layer in architecture and urban commissions.

  • Strong affinity with resilience, ecology and sustainability is an asset.

  • Review experience during detailed design, tender and execution.

  • Ability to act as contact person between MVRDV, client, co-architect and contractors.

  • Deadline, cost and budget responsibility.

  • Team leadership and coordination of extraordinary projects with the highest standards.

  • Strong CAD, Adobe and GIS are an asset.

  • Ambitious, a collaborative team player, and flexible.

  • Good spoken and written communication skills in English.

  • EU working permit is a must.

  • Passion for MVRDV’s work and theory is an asset.

  • Bilingual level in Dutch is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Strong design leadership to (co)lead mid-(or large-) size design teams.
  • Lead and coach on a daily basis a team of landscape architects.
  • Landscape specialist in the Urban-studio focusing on international and Dutch market.
  • Coordinating role between urban & landscape team and architecture studios within MVRDV.
  • Input on all aspects to ensure the design execution meets the design intent.
  • Control design quality of small and larger scale landscape projects.
  • Direct contact for clients, external specialist planners and subcontractors
  • Close collaboration with the (founding) partner in charge of the project.
  • Work within a given budget and timeframe.
