SCRIPTING AND DESIGN TECHNOLOGIES INTERNSHIP
Job description
MVRDV NEXT is looking for an enthusiastic intern to expand our team in Rotterdam. As part of NEXT, you will be collaborating with MVRDV's design teams globally to develop project-specific computational workflows and maintain our library of tools and scripts for general office use. In addition, you will participate in MVRDV NEXT focus weeks. During this time, we will investigate new design technologies in depth and develop specific design tools for MVRDV’s workfloor together.

Founded in 1993, the MVRDV headquarters are based in Rotterdam with subsidiaries in Shanghai, Berlin, and Paris. As a group of in-house specialists, MVRDV NEXT develops and implements computational workflows and new technologies. Through a combination of project-based work and standalone research, we rationalize designs, speed up processes, and make projects more efficient and adaptable in the face of change. Requirements
- Solid understanding of Grasshopper + Rhino, and Adobe Suite. Revit is an asset.
- Blender and After Effects are an asset.
- Knowledge in C#, Python, and Unity is an asset.
- Enthusiastic and knowledgeable on state-of-the-art design technologies.
- Creative, and innovative, with strong design and graphic skills.
- Team player with a flexible mindset and strong initiative.
- Working experience in international environments is an asset.
- Have a good command of English.
- Available 40 hours/week and can start in as soon as possible.
- Authorized to work in the Netherlands and enrolled as a student for the internship duration.
